With all the concrete completed, the park is now guarded by security to stop any little tikes causing any damage before the opening. The contractors have a few little jobs to complete before the final inspection by Gravity leading up to the parks hand over next week.

Wednesday 1st Apr.....Brickwork added
As work continued on the curves a bricky arrived to add the brick sections of the skate park. As you can see in the image, they are not actually bricks but more like tiles and questions are raised about the worthiness of these tiles due to cracking.
With suitability theories aside, it certainly looks good and will break up the boring grey of the concrete.

Wednesday 1st Apr....Check out the curves
Today saw the arrival of the contractors in charge of spraying the curves into the skate park. Its a relatively straight forward process that involves concrete sprayed on to the foundation work and then finished by hand as you can see in the image.
The main worry now is trespassing as if the concrete is ridden on before it goes off, it will end up damaged and will need to be repaired. This could potentially put back the opening date of the park.
STAY OFF THE PARK UNTIL ITS FINISHED!
